    look on the back of the key. you’ll find a small phillips head ***** at the bottom of the back by the metal key. remove that ***** then simply pry the case apart at the bottom using your fingernail or a small screwdriver blade. the case with then separate in two and the battery is can be removed.

    most Honda dealers will change the battery for you at no charge if you buy the battery from them

    you’ll find the picture on page 85 of your owner’s manual if you have one.

    as a note, there should be a red LED on the top of the remote that comes on when you press any of the buttons. if the light comes on, the battery is OK. if it doesn’t then its time to repalce the battery.
