What are the recommendations for getting a Honda’s transmission flushed or changed?

I have had no problems with the transmission, I just like to keep up on regular maintenance. The Honda is a 1997 with 130K miles. I’ve heard that flushing the transmission fluid can cause more problems than just leaving it alone.
