What matenance to I need on my 03 Honda Accord LX as I get more mileage?

A lot of my friends have told me that you can get a lot of miles out of a Honda Accord without doing much major maintenance along the way, other than oil changes. What are your takes on this. Right now I have 45k miles, but I plan on holding onto the car for atleast 4-5 more years.

Why wont my 1989 Honda Civic start without rolling down a hill to pop the clutch?

My 1989 Honda Civic will not start without rolling down a hill to pop the clutch. I thought it might be the battery, but once I chnaged it, the car did the same thing. Does that mean the clutch has gone bad or is it something else?

2. When I am driving, for no reason the RPM gauge goes up and down from 1 to 1.5 rapidly, and you can hear my engine revving up and down.
Please help =( It’s my first car and I really dont want it to die lol. Money is no object.
Like I said, it’s my first car and it has sentimental value. Plus I’m not paying lol.

Why do Honda steering wheels get smooshy after a few years?
Filed Under Maintenance & Repairs | Comments Off
self_addressed_stamped_envelope asked:
Why do Honda steering wheels get very soft and smooshy after a few years’ use? They seem to become very soft and the material actually starts to move back and forth, especially on the places where it is most used. Is there a way to fix this? I looked at a replacement steering wheel for my 91 Accord and it’s $350 — which I thought was a bit outrageous.

I have a Honda Civic EX 1995. I live in Austin, TX and my car a/c works fine in the morning when its not that hot, but takes very long to cool in the afternoon/evening. In addition, the engine makes knocking sounds while idling with the A/C on. The mechanic told me that this was due to a condenser problem–and gave me a $400 quote! My question is if the condenser is bad, would the A/C cool at all?
Ironhand,
Thanks for the response, I’ll check for the things you said, but meanwhile Iooks like have another problem! I drove home fie today, no idling at all, but when I got to my driveway, the engine died on me! I tried to start it and it starts up for a second and then dies. Its doing this off and on, sometimes it starts fine, other time, it starts and dies! I am thinking its a loose connection in some electrical part, any ideas?

Where to obtain a honda stereo compatibility list?
Filed Under Honda Accord Ex | Comments Off
Ryan W asked:
I want to see what other Honda factory stereos will work in my 98 accord. Specifically will a 04 honda element stereo work in my 98 accord.
Ok, my bad, more specifically, will it hook into the factory wiring harness? I’d really like a website or list that will tell the compatibility.
